After five gruelling trials sessions with over 120 children attending trials, fifteen children have been selected to represent the Dacorum District U11s Football Team in the 2016-2017 season. Reece, Evan, Sam, Samuel, Harry, Jack, Tom (from Bovingdon), Kian, Archie, Albert, Fin, Thomas, and Tia and Henry will compete in the Southern Counties League, Hertfordshire League, The ESFA Premier League 7-a-side Tournament, The Southern Counties Cup and the Hertfordshire Inter District 7-a-side Championship this season.
So far, Dacorum have made a good start to all competitions, winning 8 games, losing 2 games and drawing 1 game. All whilst scoring an impressive 40 goals in these matches. Manager, Luke Nicholls, said, “I have a great opportunity to work with a highly talented set of players this season. This season holds much potential for silverware and hopefully we can achieve our goals whilst representing the district with honour.”
The Get-Along-Gang Motorcycle Club annual Christmas bash takes place weekend of the 12 November with a trip to Andover. They meet every Wednesday at the Green Dragon (Flaunden – see Flaunden) and most other nights you will find at least one of us at the bar – anytime of the year. Weather isn’t usually a problem.
